We've been making custom plates and frames for over 20 years (and this is all we do) and we haven't seen any companies take care of the folks that want to put a custom message frame on a state issued plate that has the registration stickers on the bottom.  Most of the custom message frames made now have the wide strip at the bottom which precludes customers in Alabama, Georgia, Ohio and many other states from personalizing their display of state issued plates.  We have come up with a solution!

As you can see, the new style message frames allow for the registration stickers on the bottom of state issued plates to show past the frames.  These frames can also be used by customers that want a uniform strip appearance on the top and bottom of the frame.  We have the same ability on the new message frames.  All you have to do is let us know what you want on it and we'll do whatever we can to make your dream come true. Recommended maximum characters per message panel: 15 on the top panel and 15 on the lower panel. Spaces count as characters. More characters will reduce the lettering size.  All lettering is upper case (capitals) for visibility purposes unless specifically requested.  (We have found many people type using only lower case when filling out forms.)   Fits standard 6 inches x 12 inches full sized license plates.  Please email us if you have questions or we can help you in any way. 

Here is a chart that tells where the registration stickers are located for your particular state.  The states in yellow have the registration stickers on the bottom corners of the state issued plates.  If you're from one of the states highlighted in blue, you'll want to order this new style frame:
