License Plate Personalization Information

We have over 20 years of experience in selling and personalizing license plates for customers.  The art of lettering is subjective.  Lettering can always be made larger or smaller, stretched or cramped, or elongated and distorted.  We try our best to make the license plate something the owner can take pride in.  We try to make the plate as if it were going on our vehicle.  If you have any suggestions on how you would like us to do the lettering, please provide us with special instructions or email us after placing your order.  We will do our best to make it to your specifications, but if we feel the plate may look better, we will email you and ask you for guidance providing you with the options. 

No company usually makes all the products they sell and we are no different.  Some plates we sell (airbrush plates) are manufactured by a variety of assorted reputable companies. 

We personalize all our products in one of two ways:

Custom and photo plates that we make   Airbrush plates made by others
Part numbers starting with 050-, 051-, 007-, 027-, & 051   Part numbers starting in 01, 03, 04, 07
     
  The lettering on the custom license plates and photo plates we make on site is actually part of the license plate design. The lettering isn't added as paint or self adhesive - it is part of the plate and it is not raised in any way! When we make custom plates, we heat the plate to over 400 degrees and put the design into the plate as a gas rather than paint or ink.  These high gloss plates will spruce up almost any vehicle.   Since the plates already have been coated with clear coat, they are unable to be personalized by painting.  In cases like this, we use a commercial grade external self adhesive vinyl lettering to customize airbrush license plates that we don't make.

There is a small personalization charge of $4.95 to place the lettering on the airbrush plates and it is clear at time of selecting the options available for that particular plate.

IF THE LETTERING USED ON THE PLATE IS SELF ADHESIVE VINYL, IT WILL SPECIFICALLY TELL YOU BEFORE YOU PLACE YOUR ORDER WHEN YOU SELECT YOUR LETTERING.

If you order an airbrushed license plate, you will automatically have the option to have it personalized if personalization is available for that particular design.  (Some designs don't leave enough room for lettering without overpowering the license plate so we don't offer it as an option.)

If you get the self adhesive vinyl lettering, you will be able to chose 10 different colors (or we can choose for you, if you prefer):

  • White (best on dark colored plates)

  • Black (best on light colored plates)

  • Yellow (best on dark colored plates)

  • Green (best on light colored plates)

  • Red (best on light colored plates)

  • Blue (best on light colored plates)

  • Gold (can be used on light and dark plates)

  • Light blue (best on dark colored plates)

  • Silver (best on dark plates)

  • Orange (best on dark plates)
     

We charge only
$4.95 per license plate to personalize airbrush plates
